A Tent in the Desert

This rarely seen prop and plan is possibly one of the most baffling illusion concepts ever invented. On the stage sits a tent and a frame with an interior panel consisting of several straps that rests on two saw horses. The assistant is introduced and laid to rest on the frame. She is strapped in position and the frame and panel are hoisted midway within the tent. Suddenly, at the magician’s command, the frame rotates, the assistant disappears, the empty panel falls to the ground and the frame can be seen to be empty with a clear view through and to the back of the tent. There is no doubt that the magician’s assistant has vanished instantaneously! For the serious student of illusions this plan is a must for any library, or workshop.
