Girl Without A Middle

Often referred to as the "Disembodied Princess" or "The Princess Without a Middle." This is the classic version. The magician's assistant enters an Egyptian styled cabinet. A door is closed to hide her face, two doors hide her body and two more doors hide her legs. Almost instantly two wicked-looking blades are inserted into the cabinet, one at the neck and one just above the knees. The blades penetrate the entire cabinet and emerge out the other side. When the head door is opened, her legs are seen and proven to be real, yet when the middle body doors are opened, her middle is missing! To further prove that the body has vanished, a back door is let down and the magician looks through and waves into the missing middle. To restore the girl, all is reversed and she emerges in one piece and none the worse for the experience.
