Nicola Spike Cabinet
The illusionist's version of the "Iron Maiden", this treacherous looking prop is a real fooler. A narrow cabinet is displayed and the front door is opened to reveal a spike rack resting in the back of the cabinet containing 55 solid steel spikes that move forward by turning a ship's wheel located in the back of the illusion. The magician's assistant takes her place in front of the spikes as the front door is closed. Her face is seen through a small door in the front as the spikes are slowly and meticulously cranked through her body. When the spikes are cranked back and the front door is opened, it is seen that she has miraculously survived the ordeal.
